Mozambique, one of the world’s poorest nations, has endured successive crises. Cyclones Idai and Kenneth, both in 2019, devastated entire regions, while since 2017, an Islamic insurgency in the northern province of Cabo Delgado has displaced over a million people and claimed thousands of lives.
Yet, even amid profound suffering, the Church in Mozambique carries a remarkable heritage of faith and revival. Through ministries such as Rolland and Heidi Baker’s Iris Global movement, hundreds of thousands have reportedly come to Christ, alongside testimonies of remarkable miracles and supernatural provision.
Mozambique stands at a critical intersection—between catastrophe and revival, suffering and hope, devastation and divine intervention.

1. Pray for an end to the insurgency in Cabo Delgado.
Pray that the violence will cease, that those responsible for atrocities will face justice, and that displaced families will be able to return safely to their homes and communities in peace.

2. Pray for the Mozambican Church to rise to the frontline.
Ask God to mobilise the Church in Mozambique to become a source of relief, hope, discipleship, and evangelism in Cabo Delgado, turning a place of great suffering into a place of great spiritual harvest.

3. Pray for missionaries and national Church leaders.
Pray for supernatural protection, divine provision, wisdom, courage, and endurance for missionaries and national leaders serving in northern Mozambique, especially when the pressure and risks intensify.
Scripture: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God...” — Isaiah 41:10
4. Pray for the children and women of Mozambique.
Many have experienced deep trauma through conflict, cyclone destruction, loss, and displacement. Pray that God will heal their hearts, restore their dignity, protect them from further harm, and surround them with compassionate people and safe communities.
Scripture: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart...” — Psalm 34:18
Over Mozambique: The tears in the north have not gone unnoticed. The cries of the suffering Church have reached the heart of God. What was intended for destruction will be transformed into a testimony of endurance, restoration, and divine intervention.
We declare that the hand of the Lord will yet be seen across Mozambique. Peace will rise where there has been violence, hope will arise where there has been despair, and the Gospel will advance even in the midst of adversity.
Mozambique shall yet witness the glory of God.
